I am both an elder and teacher at my church, and while I have had extensive studies in scripture and church history, I knew that additional study and research could only be a benefit for me. So I enrolled in KBI and continue to share in its studies because, as an advance student, my Bible knowledge is challenged. Some things that I had forgotten were bought back to memory; yet other things enlightened my knowledge in the scriptures via the insight and perspective shared by others within the class sessions.
As a result, I am able to pass this knowledge and information on to many of my students and colleagues.
The classes are structured in such a way that they give the students a firm foundation for understanding the Bible, its history and those who partook in writing it. I am totally convinced that the courses at KBI will be an inspiration and knowledge builder to all who take them.

Genease Pettigrew is a great teacher. She used relevant examples to explain lesson topics. She talked about her own spiritual gifts and reminded the students that the gift must be put into practice. She is very knowledgeable and a great course administrator. She did an outstanding job.

The How to Study the Bible course widened my purview of the Bible in a historical and political panorama that I may not have otherwise known without it. I am humbled that God chose me to ascertain this knowledge. I have learned more about the Bible in these past six weeks than I have in my lifetime. I pray this course will continue to be offered. In my opinion, every believer should know the Bible history and how to understand Scripture through genre.
